Generalised Trust among Second-Generation Muslim and Non-Muslim Minority Groups in Europe

Abstract This study compares generalised trust between second-generation Muslim and non- migrant groups in Europe, examines the effect on of discrimination cultural transmission. Analysis data from European Social Survey 4,687 respondents 32 countries shows that have lower levels than non-Muslim minority groups. The findings provide no evidence Muslims’ are due to exclusion. Rather, results indicate differences transmission: originate more often low-trust societies, is transmitted one generation next.
